Am I to old to play hockey on a women's B league team?

I am 21 years old and want to start playing hockey. My goal is to reach a B level team (I think that's the highest you can get in women's hockey, right?). Am I to old to reach that goal? I've never played ice hockey and I know how to ice skate but not so well yet. I plan to take some lessons to learn to skate to play hockey, but will it be a waste of time? I don't want to be on a recreational team...maybe as a beginner, but I want to end up in a team that competes nationally. Do I have a chance? Will I have a chance to be invited for the Olympic team if I work hard enough at it?
