How nosy is a notary supposed to be?

Actually fuzzy you are incorrect. I am a notary public and our job is only to witness you sign this doent and swear that you are indeed the person who signed. We have not reason to know what the doent contains. All we need is a photo ID to confirm that you are indeed who you say you are, we are in no way validated that what is in the papers is correct or true, only the signature.
