When applying to graduate school it seems that you must submit your application form in Jan or Feb of the previous year. So what about all of your marks for that final year - don't they want to look at your completed marks (which wouldn't come out untill April or May) since the last year is the most important year? You should aim for SAT 1 scores of 2150+ for Cornell, probably higher, say 2200 for Brown. A previous poster said that you should target a perfect score in order to qualify for scholarship money. Ivy League schools do not offer merit based aid.....so even if you had a perfect 2400 and a 4.0 GPA, you will not be offered a dime unless you can demonstrate that you qualify for need based financial aid. Regarding SAT IIs, I would target scores in the 750+ range. The reason for the higher scores here is because you can pick those subjects in which you excel. Again, the earlier posting minimizing the importance of SAT II scores is incorrect. The schools you are targeting require a minimum of 2 SAT IIs for a reason. Most admissions committees acknowledge the fact that SAT II scores are better predictors of future success in college and place great emphasis on those scores, especially as they relate to your intended major.

I had a dream that I was on my computer but it was in my closet. in my dream I realize it and also notice I'm using the wrong computer ( i have several in real life) so I started emptying my closet to move it out and there was a whole in the wall that led to a room and a cat came out. it was soon followed by several others as well as kittens. the colors werent clear but I recall several tan ones and multi colored ones. I was mildly disturbed by these cats, but not angry or fearful. so I usher them like cattle to the side door and they run free. while I'm outside I notice a black cat stuck in frozen water. I rushed over to save the cat, it was not in the wall by the way. and pull it out of the frozen water. it seemed to be kinda difficult and dangerious. the cat was alive, but apathetic to it's situation. then I woke up. Is it illegal to unplug the penger airbag on my Jeep?

I was doing some work under the dash of my '98 Wrangler the other day and unfortunately had to destroy the penger airbag cover in the process. I cut the thick rubber that holds the cover from flying off of the dash and makes it fold upward instead. Now if the airbag deploys it will blow the cover away, probably into the face of the penger. It's pretty soft rubber so I don't know if it would cause much more damage than the airbag alone, or if it would possibly miss the penger entirely. It's a gamble and for now I have chosen to leave the airbag unplugged. Is it illegal to do this? Do you think it would be safer to plug it back in?

Rls is making me miserable, please help.?

I have severe RLS. My doctor will not prescribe requipt due to side effects. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I am severly anemic and run low on B12 all the time but these factors cannot be aleviated (we have tried for 4 years). I take regular supplements and my hemoglobin still runs around 7.5 to 8 with supplements so I know that has some bearing on it. I am looking for more suggestions to relieve the pain. I was always mad fun of as a child. That experience has made me seclude myself from others. I have ONE friend. She's my best friend and the only thing that keeps me sane. She's the only person I talk to and the only person I need. Spending time at their house is a big help too. When I leave my house to spend time with her my whole attitude and mind-set goes from extremely negative and pessimistic to positive and uplifting.

My toddler has hives and a fever?

My 21 month old son developed hives over a week ago. He's been to the doctor and they gave him Atarax and Prednisone. The hives are still there. He's also had a low grade fever (100.4-100.6) off and on, which I've treated with Tylenol. The doctor does not seem concerned at all that he's had these hives for 10 days now, and when I call he just tells me to keep giving my son the medicine until it's all gone. But the medicine doesn't seem to be doing much. The hives have cleared up a little but they are still there. Is there anything else I can do to get rid of the hives?

How to deal with parents?

This certainly isn't the only issue and it's definitely a smaller issue I have with my parents than some of the other things. I only have three or four shirts and 2 pairs of jeans and another pair of pants that I wouldn't wear to school. My parents think that it is acceptable to wear my mothers old shirts she would sleep in that have holes in them and are down to my knees. Whenever I bring it up my stepmother says that I have tons of clothes referring to these and short sleeve shirts that I wouldn't wear in the winter. Even including those though, I still have few clothes. When I bring up the issue of only having two pairs of jeans she tells me I have tons referring to jeans that are too big around the waist and will fall down on me and that are thick ugly work like jeans some of which have holes. Last summer I was wearing shirts that were 3 years old from when I was 12/11 (15 now). A lot of them had bleach stains on them. At one time we were pretty sure that I was suffering from fibromalgia, I had all the clic symptoms. I ended up going to work, I had a lot of exercise and those clic symptoms disappeared It seems that without exercise the waste products in the body start to build up and after they build up on different parts of the body a soreness, an achenes sets in. The more it hurts, the less you do, the less you do the worse it gets. The worse it gets the more body parts that are going to be affected. Did you notice this is one of those recent medical problems? So what's the problem? The biggest problem the medical field is facing is that it has become so specialized that it no longer looks at you as a whole person where one thing affects the other, they have seperated each part of the body from the other and want to make their diagnosis on that little part regardless of what is happening to the rest of the body. Then if something is still wrong you can be sent off to another specialist.

That brain cell thing is false. Behavior is dependent on the person, not the gr. Munchies, sure, but that is the reason that chemo patients use it to stimulate the appetite and decrease nausea. I can find no other health concerns. It used to be thought that using pot would lead to harder drugs, but that was only because in order to buy pot, one needed to deal with unsavory people that also deal in narcotics (identity by ociation.) I agree that it is hard to understand why that harmless, benign stuff is illegal and alcohol and tobacco which are so dangerous are not.

Have you ever seen a great ride that just stopped you in your tracks? Everytime I see a QH pedigree with Rugged Lark in it it reminds me of one of the best rides I've ever seen. I think it was 97 or 98, I was a groom at the Devon Horse Show. I was taking a quick break to grab a bite at the concessions by the practice ring and I saw him being worked while the ring was supposed to be vacated so they could be watered. I stopped at the rail to watch (I had heard about the farewell tour & the bridleless routines) and I was totally transfixed. There they were, bridleless, practicing the dressage routine with the water truck going around. She would side p or do an extended trot to keep him out of the way. Has the dealership/repair shop ever repaired something but broke seomthing else?

Well, I'm having a small issue. The air coming into the car cabin through the vents is super HOT even on a cold day. I don't have the heat on. The ac is just running fine from the engine side but it's just not getting into the cabin. I posted a question on here about it and a lot of people said it's probably behind the dash, that the controls are messed up. Well, that got me thinking how could something like that have happened and I thought maybe it's just the age of my car (2002) but then I remembered that the air failed with in a few days of getting it back from the dealership for replacement of my clutch. Upon getting it back the dash wasn't put in correctly so it's loose and even the airbag on my stering wheel wasn't put on right (I have yet to touch either). Well, that showed that they were behind the dash doing something. So I'm going to try to take my car into a different dealership only because I'm a state away and see what they say. But, do you think they would pay for the repairs if it seems like it was due to the other dealers fault?

I'm scared to have children because I'm afraid that they might end up with cerebal palsy or any other type of disease that can make them handicapped. Very easy to test a the dealership, with the DRB we can kill the injector to cylinder 4 and monitor the engine and see how it reacts. next easyist is to move injector 4 to another cylinder and see if the misfire goes to that cylinder or stayes. confirming if it is the injector or the control circuit for cylinder 4 also the same for the spark plugs move to another cylinder and monitor. Cheaper to diagnose correctly the first time than to just replace parts hoping to fix it.

I have been separated from my husband for 1 year we have a 3 year old daughter who has lived with me only?

Starting an S-Corp, we have an investor, what do I have to lose?

My friend has an idea for a business. He asked me to join him and 3 other guys to establish an S-Corp. They just found an investor for our start up costs of $600,000. Hi..I recently took on two Jack Russell dogs from a local rescue centre. One is pregnant (from before she went to the rescue centre). I was warned that because both are female there was this possibilty but they couldn't be sure whether they were or weren't(they were dumped at another kennel and they think possibly they had been used for breeding , are about 2 - 2 1/2 estimated guess by vet). I took them to be checked out by the vet at the weekend and she confirmed Molly is pregnant and due anytime in the next two weeks. The rescue centre has offered to help find good homes for the pups. I have no idea how many she is likely to have, what breed the father is! I have read up on the internet about the birth etc but any advice would be appreciated. Also as a seperate issue, I have noticed Molly(the pregnant one) is very domineering towards Maisie and often sits on her growling. I understand that dogs have a hierarchy but have I done the right thing taking on two females (thinking they would be better in the same home)...is there a way of dealing with this sort of behaviour without making it worse as i and the rest of the family love them both to bits and would like to keep them on but don't want Maisie's life being a misery? any advice greatly appreciated. Why won't my son's doctor listen to me?

My son was diagnosed with ADHD at age 5.First by the school,Then by a Psychiatrist.(he's now 7 and in 2nd grade) I have always felt that they are wrong,because my son acts odd.and have alot of the symptoms of Mild autism.He has socail and behavioral issues,repeats himself often,says off the wall things all the time.He does not handle change,or being away from me for a few hours,he becomes upset and very stressed if im not around.Also he hates noise,loud sounds,dosen't respond to pain and other odd behavior.I've been pointing out these behaviors yet get no change in diagnosis,even his teacher has told me in her 21 years of teaching and seeing many kids she has yet to have a student like my child.she also told me she dosen't feel it's ADHD and to keep fighting for my son.another thing my son is super smart.When tested he has superior IQ or something like that.How can i make his doctor understand that this is what i believe is going on with my son? They just won't listen and want to put him on meds that make him angry,resentful and depressed.(almost suicidal) I don't want that for my son.

i was taking an antidepressant for a week when it started. the rash is ot hives, the bumps are small but have gotten smaller and the rash is spreading to othe parts of my body, started out on my upper body, the bumps arent very pronounced and only some of them are slightly red. i dont think its dry skin it started after i used skin lotions from bath and body works and perfumed lotions that i have always used and didnt break out from. what could be causing it the only new detergent i used was oxiclean, but i didnt use it on all of my clothes, and on none of my towels, and when i got the rash the shirt i was wearing had not been washed with oxiclean.

Hi I recently saw a dentist, but would like a little more information from a dentist who has experience with TMJ. I have been having a lot of problems with my TMJ recently, I have had headaches, facial pain, ear paint, jaw pain, etc. The dentist that I saw said that my TMJ problems are due to the fact that I had four biscuspid extraction when I was younger to make room for braces. He said that my teeth are not aligned correctly and my jaw joint is in the wrong position. I was hoping that there is a way to fix this. He suggested that I wear a nightguard at night. I was wondering if there is a way to correct the ramifications from the four biscuspid extraction? And what it will entail for my teeth and jaw to properly align? And can my jaw and teeth be corrected after having the four biscuspid extraction? My fiance and i are getting married in september and to be honest it has been nothing but drama and stress. Does anybody listens sounds from their fish tanks at night?

this is VERY unusual, no fish owner that i know hear things at night from their aquariums. anyways i hear like weird noises like a huge bubble popping, and lots of bumps as well, sometimes it sounds like a frog just jumped in my tank from 10 feet above the surface making a huge splash, i do have nocturnal fish like senegal bichir, and pictus catfish, but all they do is swim thats it, theres also a 6" common pleco, does anybody have these noises at night? while in my 20 gallon tank which also has a pleco and is in my room no noise comes from it. Im pretty 100% sure the sounds come from the 55 gallon tank because right now the lights are turned off and im using my pc right near the tank but without lights disturbing them, and whenever i come check the fishes are sleeping o.o

I ask this question because i found out recently a good friend of mine is now p/g with her 4th child by a 3rd man...She had her first kid at 17 and their ages range 15,13,8 and now the new baby. I'm the mother that lost her 17 yr old son and my 25 year old daughter and I can't explain the panty thing. Each of you were right to say what was said. I wanted a tatoo in memory of my daughter and son. My oldest son supports my desire, but my 33 yr old son, my children's father and many male relatives think it is not appropriate. Several women told me in was tacky to wear panty hose at my son's viewing and his memorial service. Well I bought my 20 gal tank about three weeks ago and i bought 19lbs of live rock and some live sand... About 3 days later i bought some yellowtail damsels... I never seen my ammonia spike nor my nitrite... like 2 weeks later i bought some clark clownfish.. and my levels are as followed : Ammonia 0 ppm, Nitrite 0ppm, Nitrate 20ppm, ph 8.4 temp 80 and saltwater leverl are 1.028... Does this mean my tank is done cycling? any suggestions?
